Eleventh-ranked UFC welterweight Joaquin Buckley shared his plans after defeating Nursulton Ruziboev at UFC on ESPN 56. The American fighter won by unanimous decision on 12 May in St. Louis.
Buckley said in a post-match interview:
Who do I want next, huh? He got a fight (booked) already but it's a massive name and only one name you should call out if you're on this mic, a powerful name. That name is, Conor McGregor. (Conor McGregor) I want you, you're fighting at 170 lbs but you ain't fighting a welterweight, you're fighting a lightweight midget. I did research on the McGregor name and you come from a long line of McHos! Your daddy was a ho. Your grand daddy was a ho. Your great great grand pappy was a ho, so I guess it's safe to say your momma raised a ho! And if you don't respond, the whole world will know I'm telling the truth.
Buckley, 30, previously stepped into the octagon this past March at UFC on ESPN 54, defeating Vicente Luque by TKO in the second round. He has 19 wins and six losses on his record.
Ruziboev, 30, last fought at UFC on ESPN 54 in March 2024, defeating Sedriques Dumas by TKO in the first round. He has 34 wins, nine losses and two draws on his record.
