Former UFC light heavyweight champion Jan Blachowicz commented on his upcoming fight against Alex Pereira at UFC 291 on July 29.
Jan Blachowicz
If I win the fight, my next fight will be for the title. It’s bigger motivation for me, and thanks to Alex that he moved to our category — new blood. It’s very good for me that after this fight, my next fight will be for the title. I’m just happy to take the belt again to Poland.
Blachowicz had his latest fight against Magomed Ankalaev in December, 2022, at UFC 282. This confrontation lasted the whole distance and ended in a draw by split decision. Jan has 29 wins, nine losses and one draw under his belt.
Pereira made his last appearance in the Octagon against Israel Adesanya on UFC 287 last April. That fight ended in a second-round knockout loss to Alex. He has seven wins and two losses under his belt.
