Former UFC light heavyweight champion Jan Blachowicz said he has changed his mind about the outcome of his fight against Magomed Ankalaev in the UFC 282 main event.
Jan Blachowicz
Let me point out a few things. First of all, I honestly don't think the fight was terrible at all. Second, I don't feel like I won, but I don't think I lost either. The draw was fair. The end result was one guy crying and talking about his supposed injuries. The other showed that honor still remains in the sport. I'm glad the fans see and appreciate it,
The fight between Ankalaev and Blachowicz, which lasted the entire distance, ended in a draw by a split decision of the judges. Thus, the UFC light heavyweight belt remained vacant.
Blachowicz faced Aleksandar Rakić in his last fight before Ankalaev in May 2022, at the UFC on ESPN 36. That fight ended with Blachowicz's victory by TKO in the third round. The 39-year-old Polish fighter has 29 wins and nine losses on his record.
