Former UFC middleweight champion and MMA analyst Michael Bisping has spoken out on the progress of bantamweight champion Aljamain Sterling.

It would be disrespectful to overlook all the progress Sterling has made. When he got kneed in the face by Yan, a lot of crap was spewed at him. The guy was called a clown. All the negativity and all the hate he had to face, I think it created a monster.
Sterling's next fight could be against former two-division champion Henry Cejudo. So far, the fighters have not agreed on a fight date, as Aljamain has expressed his desire to take a leave of absence from his belt defense.
Sterling last fought at UFC 280 in October 2022. At that time, he defeated T.J. Dillashaw by TKO in the second round. Aljamain has 22 wins and three losses under his belt.
