Bellator president says he wants to sign Ngannou

Bellator president Scott Coker has revealed that he wants to sign former UFC heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou of Cameroon.

Scott Coker
I think Bellator is a great company that can help Ngannou accomplish his martial arts goals of fighting in MMA and boxing at the same time. I think we're a great fit. Negotiations are ongoing, we'll see what happens.

Ngannou last fought against Frenchman Ciryl Gane in January 2022 at UFC 270. In that fight, which lasted the entire distance, Francis won by unanimous decision of the judges. After that fight, Ngannou left the UFC.

Ngannou made his UFC debut against Brazilian Luiz Henrique in December 2015. That fight, which was stopped in the second round, ended in favor of Francis by knockout. He has 17 wins and three losses under his belt.
