Bellator president Scott Coker answered a question about the possible signing of former UFC heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou, who has become a free agent.
Scott Coker at the Bellator 290 tournament press conference
Francis is a fighter we are very interested in. The dialogue between us is ongoing, and I look forward to meeting him in the near future. Ngannou would be a great addition to any roster.
Ngannou had his last fight in January 2022 at UFC 270, when he defeated Ciryl Gane by unanimous decision. In March, 2021, at UFC 260, Francis defeated Stipe Miocic by TKO in the second round. The 36-year-old Cameroonian has 17 wins and three losses under his belt.
