Bellator light heavyweight champion Corey Anderson has spoken out about current UFC light heavyweight champion Alex Pereira.
On another edition of the From The Stands podcast, Anderson stated:
Yes, Pereira, 100% he's dangerous but in his last, other than Jan Błachowicz who did take him down once or twice and then gas out, who has he fought with the ability to take him down? Nobody. If you're giving guys good match-ups, just like Jamahal Hill and I said it before, I ain't got no beef I just stated a fact and he got offended, it was like who has he fought? He hadn't fought anybody that was like that high caliber to really test him.
Pereira last fought against Jamahal Hill on April 14 at UFC 300 in Las Vegas. In that fight, which was stopped in the first round, Alex won by technical knockout and defended his championship belt. He has 10 wins and two losses on his record.
Anderson last entered the octagon against Karl Moore in March of this year. This fight lasted the entire distance and ended in favor of Corey by unanimous decision. Thus, he won the Bellator heavyweight championship belt. Anderson has 18 wins and six defeats, and one more of his fights was declared a no-contest.
