UFC executive director Dana White confirmed at a press conference that the winner of the interim heavyweight title fight between Tom Aspinall and Curtis Blaydes will face Jon Jones or Stipe Miocic, who are expected to challenge the belt of the reigning heavyweight champion in the fall.
Recall, the fight Tom Aspinall vs Curtis Blaydes will be the co-main event of the UFC 304 tournament, which will be held on July 27 in Manchester.
Blaydes last fought in March 2024 at UFC 299, defeating Jailton Almeida by knockout in the second round. He has 18 wins and four losses on his record, with another of his fights being ruled a no contest.
Aspinall last stepped into the octagon in November 2023 at UFC 295, defeating Sergei Pavlovich by first-round knockout.
