New interim UFC heavyweight champion Tom Aspinall is confident that he will meet Russian Sergei Pavlovich in the octagon again in the future.
Recall, on November 12, Aspinall knocked out Pavlovich in the first round and won the interim heavyweight title
At the post-fight press conference with Pavlovich, Aspinall said:
I definitely think he and I will cross paths again. He's like 31 years old, I'm 30 years old. We can both fight for at least another five years. Trust me, he will continue to knock people out in the heavyweight division. We will probably meet again.
Pavlovich previously fought against Curtis Blaydes in the main event of UFC Fight Night 222. In that fight, Sergei won by technical knockout in the first round. He has 18 wins and two losses on his record.
Aspinall's previous fight was against Marcin Tybura in July of this year at UFC Fight Night 224. Tom won that fight by technical knockout in the first round. He has 14 wins and three losses on his record.
