UFC interim heavyweight champion Tom Aspinall says Stipe Miocic turned down offers to fight him at UFC 300 on April 14 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Aspinall reported on his X account:
My manager was contacted by the UFC asking if I'd like to fight Miocic on Apr 13th. I, of course, accepted. A little later, we were told @StipeMiocic doesn't even want to fight me, and (is) only interested in fighting @JonnyBones
Miocic last fought against Francis Ngannou in March 2021 at UFC 260. In that fight, Stipe was defeated by knockout in the second round. He has 20 wins and four losses on his record.
Aspinall last went into the octagon against Sergei Pavlovich at the same tournament UFC 295. Tom won that fight by knockout in the first round and won the UFC interim heavyweight title. He has 14 wins and three losses on his record.
