UFC interim heavyweight champion Tom Aspinall commented on the words of Frenchman Ciryl Gane, who previously challenged the Brit.
Aspinall told the media during the UFC 295 post-fight press conference:
Oh, that’s interesting. I just called him out, went to France, and he turned the fight down. I think he should fight [Jailton] Almeda. I think them guys should fight each other first and see what happens.
Aspinall last fought against Sergei Pavlovich on November 12 at UFC 295. In that confrontation, Tom won by knockout in the first round. He has 14 wins and three losses on his record.
Gane last entered the octagon against Sergey Spivak in September this year at UFC Fight Night 226. Ciryl won that fight by technical knockout in the second round. He has 12 wins and two losses on his record.
