UFC British heavyweight Tom Aspinall has admitted that he dreams of having a fight against the division's current champion, American Jon Jones.
Tom Aspinall
That’s my dream fight. I want him to watch me fight in the next few fights and think, ‘I need to stick around for this guy. This guy deserves [to fight me].’ I want him to look at me and think, ‘I need to test myself against this guy.'
Recall, on the night of July 23, Aspinall defeated Pole Marcin Tybura by technical knockout in the first round.
Aspinall, 30, competed at UFC Fight Night 208 in July 2022, where he met in a fight against Curtis Blaydes. Their confrontation ended with Tom's defeat by technical knockout in the first round. He now has 13 wins and three losses under his belt.
Jones, 35, last fought against Ciryl Gane in March of this year at UFC 285. In this confrontation, Jones won by first-round choke hold and won the championship belt in the heavyweight division. He has 27 wins and one loss on his record.
