Interim heavyweight champion Tom Aspinall has hinted that he will fight light heavyweight champion Alex Pereira at UFC 300 on April 14 in Las Vegas.
Previously, Aspinall has repeatedly stated his willingness to fight Pereira. And Alex said that he wants to perform at the upcoming UFC 300 tournament. However, the UFC CEO Dana White noted that he was not interested in organizing a fight between Aspinall and Pereira.
Aspinall posted a photo on social media that shows him booking the flight to Las Vegas from April 7-14.
Pereira last fought against Jiri Prochazka in November 2023 at UFC 295. In that fight, Alex won by technical knockout in the second round and won the vacant light heavyweight championship belt. He has nine wins and two losses on his record.
Aspinall last entered the octagon against Sergei Pavlovich at the same tournament UFC 295. Tom won that fight by knockout in the first round and won the UFC interim heavyweight title. He has 14 wins and three losses on his record.
