Anthony Smith Confirms Retirement After His Next Fight

Anthony Smith, the 14th-ranked light heavyweight in the UFC, has announced that he will retire regardless of the outcome of his next fight.

Anthony Smith
Yeah, it’s one more. Win, lose, or draw, that’s going to be it. Yeah, [the fight is already made], yeah. No [the fight hasn’t been announced yet], no. I do [want to announce it], but I can’t—you can’t get fired on your last one!

The 36-year-old fighter is currently on a two-fight losing streak. In his last bout, which took place in December 2024 at UFC 310, he lost to Dominick Reyes via technical knockout in the second round. Smith's record stands at 38 wins and 21 losses.
