UFC light heavyweight champion Magomed Ankalaev announced that his team is already in discussions for a rematch with Brazilian fighter Alex Pereira.
On March 9, in the main event of UFC 313, Ankalaev secured a victory over Pereira by unanimous decision, becoming the new champion of the light heavyweight division.

Ankalaev's last fight was in October 2024 at UFC 308, where he won by unanimous decision against Aleksandar Rakic. His record includes 20 wins, one loss, and one draw, with one fight ruled a no contest.
Pereira last appeared in the octagon in October 2024 at UFC 307, defeating Khalil Rountree by technical knockout in the fourth round. He holds a record of 12 wins and three losses.
