American UFC welterweight division fighter Alex Caceres suffered a fractured hand in his bout with Georgian Giga Chikadze at UFC Fight Night 225.

Alex Caceres broke his forearm in the first round of his fight versus Giga Chikadze, per his manager Abraham Kawa. Happened when he blocked the first kick Chikadze threw in the first, he said.
Recall, the confrontation between Chikadze and Caceres, which took place on August 26 in Singapore, went the full distance and ended with the victory of Giga by unanimous decision of the judges.
In his previous fight, which took place at UFC on ESPN 32 in January 2022, the 35-year-old Chikaze lost to Calvin Kattar by unanimous decision. He has 15 wins and three losses under his belt.
Caceres, 35, previously stepped into the octagon in June 2023 at UFC on ESPN 46, defeating Daniel Pineda by unanimous decision. He has 21 wins and 14 losses under his belt.
