Chimaev, 29, last stepped into the octagon in October 2023 at UFC 294, defeating Kamaru Usman by decision. He has 13 wins and no losses on his record.
Adesanya, 34, last fought in September 2023 at UFC 293, losing to Sean Strickland by unanimous decision. He has 24 wins and three losses on his record.
