Alexander Sarnavskiy, the AMC Fight Nights lightweight champion from the "Archangel Michael" team, discussed Usman Nurmagomedov's victory over Alexandr Shabliy in detail following their recent fight.
"The match was tough for both fighters. It wasn’t about the physical combat but for the pressure from both sides. Alexandr wanted to win the title; it’s been his dream to get the Bellator belt. Meanwhile, Usman wanted to prove he is the champion and maintain his undefeated record. Usman Nurmagomedov faced Alexandr Shabliy on September 8 in the main event of the Bellator Champions Series in San Diego, USA. Usman won that fight by unanimous decision, defending his Bellator lightweight championship title.
Nurmagomedov now holds an impressive record of 18 wins and no losses, with one fight deemed a no contest. Shabliy has 24 victories and faced four defeats throughout his career.
