Amanda Nunes Open to Comeback for Trilogy with Julianna Peña

Former UFC double champion Amanda Nunes, who retired in 2023, made a social media post tagging UFC President Dana White, where she expressed her desire to return to the Octagon.

Nunes shared a video of the song “Out Door” by the Brazilian band Só Pra Contrariar, adding changed lyrics in the caption:

Amanda Nunes
Call me, please. I miss you so much.

On October 6 at UFC 307, Julianna Peña defeated Raquel Pennington, reclaiming the championship title in the women’s bantamweight division. In her post-fight interview, Peña called on Nunes to come out of retirement and end their trilogy.

As a reminder, in December 2021, at UFC 269, Peña defeated Nunes via submission in the second round. The rematch took place in July 2022 at UFC 277, where Amanda won by unanimous decision.
