Brazilian mixed martial arts heavyweight UFC fighter Jailton Almeida has expressed his desire for a fight against division champion Jon Jones.
Jailton Almeida, quoted by MMA Fighting
The UFC matchmaker will decide if I deserve a title fight or there will be another fight after Rozenstruik. I hope Jones stays in the UFC. I hope he beats Miocic and said, ‘I’ll do one more fight. Put me against anyone.’ It would be very satisfying if they put me there. It’s like completing the game. Fighting and beating the all-time best.
Recall that Almeida's next fight will take place on May 13 at UFC on ABC 4 in Charlotte, USA. His opponent will be Jairzinho Rozenstruik.
Almeida, 31, last competed at UFC 283 in January 2023, beating Shamil Abdurakhimov by TKO in the second round. He has 18 wins and two losses under his belt.
