A middleweight title fight between reigning champion Israel Adesanya and challenger Sean Strickland will headline UFC 293 on September 10 in Sydney, Australia.
The announcement was made official by league president Dana White.
Strickland, 32, defeated Abusupiyan Magomedov by technical knockout in the second round at UFC Vegas 76 in July 2023. He has 27 wins and five losses under his belt.
Adesanya, 34, last fought in April 2023 at UFC 287, defeating Alex Pereira by knockout in the second round. He has 24 wins and two losses on his record.
