Former middleweight champion Israel Adesanya has revealed what he expects from the fight between Max Holloway and Justin Gaethje in the co-main event of UFC 300, which takes place on 14 April in Las Vegas, USA.
Adesanya said on his YouTube channel:
Max has I think better defense than Gaethje. If he implements that from the beginning, head movement, all of that stuff, I think Max can get him to swing, drag his attacks out, counter, and build off of that. I’m gonna go Max, by decision.
Gaethje, 35, last fought in July 2023 at UFC 291, defeating Dustin Poirier by knockout in the second round. He has 25 wins and four losses on his record.
Holloway, 32, last stepped into the octagon in August 2023 at UFC Fight Night 225, defeating Chan Sung Jung by third-round knockout. He has 25 wins and seven losses on his record.
