Reigning middleweight champion Israel Adesanya said he would be willing to fight Brazilian Alex Pereira if he wins the light heavyweight belt.

If he wins the belt at 205 I’ll do it again. But if not – I think he’s done with it. I’m done with it. I think everyone else wants to see it, but we’ve moved on. If I were to bet money on it, no (I don’t think it happens). 205, I’ve been there, it’s hard.
Pereira and Adesanya had a rematch at UFC 287 in April of this year. In that fight, Alex was defeated by a second-round knockout and lost his middleweight championship belt.
The first fight between Pereira and Adesanya took place in November, 2022, at UFC 281. That fight ended in favor of Alex by TKO in the fifth round. He has seven wins and two losses under his belt. Israel has 24 wins and two losses under his belt.
