UFC middleweight champion Israel Adesanya talked about his form ahead of his Nov. 12 fight with Alex Pereira at UFC 281.
Israel Adesanya
This camp before the fight with Pereira is not just one step in my development, but more like three steps. I've been working really hard the last few weeks, so now I'm in shape and I know what I need to do to beat Alex. I was already a great fighter, but now I'm in excellent shape, my mindset is also strong. I think it's not the technique that counts, it's the fight plan, and I like the plan we prepared.
The 33-year-old Adesanya had his last fight in July, 2022, at UFC 276, beating Jared Cannonier by unanimous decision. He has 23 wins and one loss under his belt.
Pereira, 35, knocked out Sean Strickland in the first round at UFC 276. He has six wins and one loss.
