Former UFC middleweight champion Israel Adesanya has expressed his interest in facing undefeated middleweight Khamzat Chimaev.

I was surprised at the way Khamzat ran through Rob. That was crazy. That was like wow. That made me want to fight him. I was like OK, sh**, this guy’s actually really, really good.
Adesanya's last fight took place in August this year at UFC 305, where he faced the promotion's middleweight champion Dricus du Plessis. In that match, which ended in the fourth round, Israel suffered a defeat by submission. He holds a record of 24 wins and four losses in mixed martial arts.
