Evgeny Goncharov, the ACA heavyweight champion, discussed potential future rival Puyah Rahmani in an exclusive interview with Telecomasia.net following Rahmani's recent victory over Salimgerey Rasulov.
"I saw the fight. Unfortunately, Salimgerey is currently facing challenges in his career. I've heard he has health issues that have affected his performance (Rasulov has been diagnosed with diabetes). He also had a tough weight cut. I wish him good health and a recovery from these difficult losses," Goncharov stated.
As for the Iranian, he has shown good wrestling skills. However, I haven't seen much more of him since the match was quite short. I am ready to fight anyone the league puts in front of me. The Iranian? We'll see what he's capable of. If not, there’s Anton Vyazigin or Mukhamat Vakhaev. Anyone is fine. Let the ACA decide. If they find Rahmani worthy of a title fight – let's go.
It’s worth noting that the 32-year-old Rahmani has achieved four victories in four bouts. Two of these fights were in the ACA, while the other two took place under the ACA Young Eagles banner. Goncharov is the current ACA heavyweight champion and the winner of the Grand Prix.
