Renowned fight manager Ali Abdelaziz has spoken out about a potential fight between former two-division champion Conor McGregor and former interim lightweight champion Justin Gaethje.
Ali Abdelaziz, quoted by MMA Junkie
I want Gaethje to destroy Conor McGregor and put him in a wheelchair. It doesn't matter, any weight. He can take all the steroids he wants - anything. I'd like to see that fight, but he doesn't prefer hard fights anymore. He wants easy fights. McGregor probably won't agree to fight Justin Gaethje.
McGregor, 34, had his last fight at UFC 264 in July 2021, when he lost to Dustin Poirier by TKO in the first round. In January of the same year, Conor was defeated by Dustin by TKO in the second round at UFC 257. McGregor has 22 wins and six losses under his belt.
Gaethje, 34, lost to Charles Oliveira by first-round submission (rear-naked choke) at UFC 274 in May 2022. He has 23 wins and four losses under his belt.
