21-Year-Old Australian MMA Fighter Dies from Over-Training

An Australian mixed martial arts fighter has tragically died at the age of 21 due to an illness resulting from excessive physical training.

According to GB News, the athlete was hospitalized after a fight in early March. Doctors diagnosed him with rhabdomyolysis, a condition involving the breakdown of muscle tissue caused by overexertion.

Medical professionals attempted to save the young fighter by placing him in a medically induced coma and performing several surgeries, but their efforts were unsuccessful.

Just prior to this news, the boxing world mourned the passing of former heavyweight champion and prominent American boxer George Foreman, who passed away on March 21. Foreman began his professional career in 1969, ending with 76 wins (68 by knockout) and five losses.
