Stefanos Tsitsipas took care of business against Casper Rudd, beating him 6-1, 6-4 during the Canadian Open also known as Rogers Cup. Stefanos is the third best tennis player in terms of ATP ranking while Casper is slated at number 12 as of now. Earlier, Tsitsipas beat Karen Khachanov in Round of 16 to reach the QuarterFinal.
Stefanos reached prominence when he beat Roger Federer during the Australian Open in 2019, when Federer was the defending champion and the number three player in the world.He is also the first Greek tennis player to win a Masters 1000 title when he claimed the Monte-Carlo Masters in April this year.
