Mima Ito and Jun Mizutani from Japan have beaten the duo of Xu Xin and Liu Shiwen to capture the Olympics Gold medal in Table tennis mixed doubles. They beat the Chinese duo by 4-3.
China won the opening two sets but then Japan got on track and won three straight, ultimately wrapping up the seventh set. The Chinese contingent won silver and bronze medals in the mixed doubles event.
