During a Norwegian second division football match, Emil Palsson, an Icelandic midfielder, suffered a cardiac arrest. Play stopped twelve minutes into the first half when Emil got hit by the issue. His current club Sogndal issued a statement that they performed a successful resuscitation and now he has been shifted to Haukeland University Hospital.
Sogndal took the footballer on loan from top-flight Norwegian club Stjordals-Blink. Emil has played at a professional level since 2008 and started his career with Iceland’s highest division football league. So far in his career, he has made most appearances for the Icelandic club Fimleikafélag Hafnarfjarðar, representing them in 114 games.
