Namibia and Pakistan will face each other in the Group 2 of the Super 12s round. Pakistan is well on its way to reaching the Semis after winning all of the three games so far. Namibia comes after a heavy pounding versus Afghanistan.
Can Namibia put up a fight?
Namibia struggled against Afghanistan seamers in Hassan, Naveen, and Gulbadin. Pakistan offers a lot more pace and has even troubled teams like New Zealand and India who are known for negotiating fast bowlers well. Namibia could not even reach 100 in the last game and their batters looked clueless, how can one expect them to perform well against pace batteries like Shaheen Shah Afridi and Haris Rauf?
Pakistan has some issues
Despite winning three games, Afghanistan revealed some issues with Pakistan. The early middle-order has some mistakes to iron out and the team has the tendency to leave too many runs for a late finish. Both Rizwan and Azam have been stellar up-front but in the last two games, Asif Ali has to perform some six-hitting maneuvers to bail the team out. Can Pakistan consider themselves safe with Semis coming close? First, they will need to close out these easy games.
