Following a match at the Asian Games, players from the Turkmenistan hockey team attacked the Hong Kong team, as reported by RIA Novosti. The incident happened during the handshake after the game, in which Turkmenistan lost 1-5.
One of the Turkmen players unexpectedly punched a Hong Kong player in the face, leading to a scuffle. The Hong Kong Sports Federation has filed a complaint with the International Ice Hockey Federation, demanding action against the Turkmen players.
The Asian Winter Games kicked off on February 7 in China, taking place in the cities of Harbin and Yabuli. More than 1,000 athletes from 32 countries are participating in the competitions.
