The best players of the 2025 World Junior Ice Hockey Championship, which concluded on January 5 in Ottawa, Canada, have been announced. The tournament's Most Valuable Player (MVP) honor went to Ryan Leonard, a forward for the United States team.
The American recorded a total of 10 points (5 goals and 5 assists) and shared second place in the tournament's scoring leaders. Leonard was also recognized as the best forward of the tournament.
The best goaltender award went to Petteri Rimpinen, the Finnish team's goalie, while the best defenseman honor was given to Axel Sandin Pellikka from Sweden.
The tournament's All-Star team (as chosen by media) consists of: goalkeeper Petteri Rimpinen (Finland), defensemen Cole Hudson (USA) and Axel Sandin Pellikka (Sweden), as well as forwards Ryan Leonard (USA), Jakub Stancl (Czech Republic), and Gabe Perreault (USA).
The championship title was claimed by the USA team, who defeated Finland 4-3 in overtime during the final match. In the third-place game, the Czech Republic triumphed over Sweden in a shootout, winning 3-2.
