Chicago Blackhawks National Hockey League club forward Corey Perry issued a statement amidst the situation with his suspension due to an incident with a franchise employee.
Perry was quoted as saying by journalist Chris Johnston on his X account:
I would like to sincerely apologize to the entire Chicago Blackhawks organization, including ownership, management, coaches, trainers, employees, and my teammates. I am embarrassed, and I have let you all down. My behavior was inappropriate and wrong. I have begun working with experts in the mental health and substance abuse fields to discuss my struggles with alcohol. I will take whatever steps necessary to ensure this never happens again.
Earlier it was reported that Chicago Blackhawks forward Corey Perry could be suspended because of a possible sexual relationship with the mother of his 18-year-old teammate Connor Bedard. In the current season, the 38-year-old hockey player scored nine points after 16 games of the regular NHL championship.
