Hockey players of the Czech national team broke the trophy while celebrating victory at the home world championship. Striker Jáchym Kondelík published the pictures with the damaged trophy on social networks.
In the final, the Czech national team defeated Switzerland 2-0 and won its first gold medal at the world hockey championship since 2010.
It should be noted that this is not the first case of this kind. In 2011, the Finnish national team players broke the championship trophy, dropping it while celebrating.
