With these two assists, Crosby's total assists in the National Hockey League have reached 1,050. He is now just 13 assists away from Steve Yzerman, former player of the Detroit Red Wings, who holds the ninth spot in the rankings.
The all-time leader in assists is Wayne Gretzky, another Canadian, with 1,963 assists. Ron Francis follows in second place with 1,249 assists, while Mark Messier rounds out the top three with 1,193 assists.
