Zidane May Replace Deschamps as France National Team Coach

Former Real Madrid head coach Zinedine Zidane may replace the current coach of the French national team Didier Deschamps. This was reported by Le Parisien.

On Wednesday, January 8, Deschamps announced his departure from the national team coaching position after the 2026 World Cup. Under his leadership, the French national team won the 2018 World Cup and the UEFA Nations League in 2021.

It has been previously reported that Zidane does not see himself coaching any other club aside from Real Madrid and is only interested in managing the French national team on an international level.

Zidane managed Real Madrid from 2016 to 2018 and again from 2019 to 2021, winning three Champions Leagues and two La Liga titles. As a player for the French national team, Zidane won the World Cup and the European Championship.
