As reported by El Nacional, 17-year-old Spanish winger Lamine Yamal has expressed his opposition to the transfer plans of FC Barcelona's management.
According to the source, Barcelona's management aims to strengthen the right-back position, currently occupied by Jules Koundé. However, Lamine Yamal believes the club does not need another player in that role, as he enjoys playing alongside the Frenchman.
Koundé joined Barcelona from Sevilla at the end of July 2022. Since then, he has made 125 appearances for the club, scoring six goals and providing 17 assists. The Frenchman’s contract with Barcelona runs until the end of June 2027. His transfer value is estimated at 60 million euros according to Transfermarkt.
Currently, Barcelona top the La Liga standings with 51 points.
It was also revealed that London side Chelsea are considering a move for Jules Koundé for 60 million euros.
Furthermore, the 26-year-old French defender may leave the Catalan club during the upcoming summer transfer window.
