17-year-old Barcelona forward Lamine Yamal has left the Spain national team, as reported by the Royal Spanish Football Federation on its official website.
After the UEFA Nations League match against Denmark, which ended 1-0 in favor of Spain, Yamal fortunately avoided a serious injury. Medical examinations revealed that he only suffered from a muscle strain. However, he has returned to Barcelona to avoid further damage.
Previously, it was reported that the Catalan club had been seeking his early return to the team.
Yamal’s contract with Barcelona runs until the summer of 2026, and according to Transfermarkt, his market value is estimated at €150 million. In 11 appearances for the club this season, he has scored five goals and provided five assists.
