The press service of FC Barcelona has provided details regarding the ankle injury suffered by midfielder Lamine Yamal during the 17th round of the Spanish championship match against Leganés (0:1).
On the official social media channels of the Catalan club, it was reported that Yamal has sustained "grade 1 injury to the anterior intertibio-peroneal ligament" in his right ankle due to a strike to his leg. Consequently, the 17-year-old player is expected to be sidelined for approximately three to four weeks.
This season, Yamal has appeared in 21 matches for Barcelona across all competitions, scoring six goals and providing 12 assists.
The midfielder's contract with the Catalan club runs until the summer of 2026.
