Sports journalist David Ornstein reported the refusal of West Ham United to sell their player, England midfielder Declan Rice to Arsenal for a record €122 million on his social media page.
Despite the amount offered by the Gunners for the 23-year-old midfielder, the Hammers rejected, although the transfer would have become a record for English footballers.
On June 27, The Telegraph newspaper informed of an offer made to West Ham by Manchester City to buy Rice. The London club was offered €105 million but the Citizens were ready to make a payment as soon as possible, unlike Chelsea.
Rice spent the 2022/2023 season with the Hammers in 37 games in the English Premier League (EPL), scoring four goals and giving two assists.
