Liverpool are looking to extend the contract of central defender Virgil van Dijk, who is now 33 years old, according to journalist Nicolo Schira on social media.
The report indicates that the Dutch player wishes to have his deal extended until 2027. His current contract with the club is set to expire in the summer of 2025.
Van Dijk has been with the club since 2018, during which he has made 276 appearances in all competitions, scoring 24 goals and providing 12 assists.
Transfermarkt estimates the defender's market value at €30 million.
Previously, Van Dijk mentioned that he is uncertain about his future with the Netherlands national team.
