Vinicius Named Best Forward and Player of the Year at Globe Soccer Awards

Real Madrid striker Vinicius Junior has been named the best football player of the year and the best forward of the year at the Globe Soccer Awards.

Other nominees included Jude Bellingham (Real), Dani Carvajal (Real), Antoine Griezmann (Atletico), Viktor Gyokeres (Sporting), Erling Haaland (Manchester City), Harry Kane (Bayern), Toni Kroos (Real), Robert Lewandowski (Barcelona), Ademola Lookman (Atalanta), Lautaro Martinez (Inter), Kylian Mbappe (Real), Lionel Messi (Inter Miami), Cole Palmer (Chelsea), Rodri (Manchester City), Cristiano Ronaldo (Al-Nassr), Mohamed Salah (Liverpool), and Lamine Yamal (Barcelona).

This year, Vinicius, along with Real Madrid, won the Spanish championship, the Champions League, and the Spanish Super Cup.

So far, the 24-year-old Brazilian has played 20 matches across all competitions, scoring 13 goals and providing nine assists.

Previously, Vinicius was officially recognized as the best football player of the 2024 calendar year at FIFA's The Best ceremony.
