Real Madrid forward Vinicius Junior commented on his chances of winning the 2024 Ballon d'Or.
In the past season, the Brazilian player secured victories in La Liga, the Spanish Super Cup, and the Champions League. At the start of the 2024/2025 season, Vinicius, alongside Real Madrid, also claimed the UEFA Super Cup title.
Vinicius told CNN:
And as for the men's players, I have Kaká as an example, I have Ronaldo who won the award twice, I have Ronaldinho, Rivaldo, a lot of Brazilian players who have won the Ballon d'Or. But without a doubt, Ronaldo and Ronaldinho are the ones I'm closest with, who tell me every day that I have to win the Ballon d'Or.
Earlier reports indicated that Vinicius declined a move to the Saudi Arabian league due to his ambition to win the Ballon d'Or. Additionally, the winger expressed his desire to avoid being the face of Saudi Arabia ahead of the 2034 World Cup.
