Vinicius in Talks with Real Madrid for Contract Extension

Real Madrid forward Vinicius has initiated discussions regarding an extension of his contract with the club. This information was reported by The Athletic Football.

Vinicius has expressed his desire to remain at Real Madrid and hopes to finalize the negotiations in the coming days. Earlier reports indicated that the player's representatives and the club management have struggled to reach an agreement on his salary in the new contract. His team rejected the initial offer from the club and is looking for more favorable terms.

According to the source, Vinicius currently earns 15 million euros before taxes and bonuses.

This season in La Liga, Vinicius has played in 17 matches, scoring eight goals and providing five assists. He ranks as the second-highest scorer for Real, trailing only Kylian Mbappe, who has 16 goals and two assists.

It was also reported that a Saudi Arabian club is interested in offering Vinicius a contract worth 1 billion euros.
