According to Goal.com, 24-year-old Brazilian winger Vinicius Junior from Real Madrid is currently leading the race for the Ballon d'Or for the 2023/2024 season.
In second place is Rodri, a midfielder for Manchester City and the Spanish national team. Jude Bellingham, an English midfielder playing for Real Madrid, rounds out the top three.
Vinicius has been with Real since July 2018 and had an impressive last season, scoring 24 goals and providing 11 assists in 39 matches across all competitions. His current contract with the club runs until the end of June 2027, and Transfermarkt estimates him at €180 million.
The Ballon d'Or ceremony will take place on October 28 at the Théâtre du Châtelet in Paris.
Earlier, France Football released its list of 30 nominees for the Ballon d'Or for the 2023/2024 season. Real Madrid head coach Carlo Ancelotti believes that Bellingham and Vinicius are the main favorites for the award.
