Real Madrid forward and Brazilian national team player Vinicius Junior underwent a DNA test that revealed his ancestors originated from a region that is now part of Cameroon.
Prior to the World Cup 2026 qualifier against Uruguay (which ended in a 1-1 draw), Vinicius was presented with an official certificate showing the test results, as reported by Ge.globo.
Vinicius has been with Real Madrid since 2018. In the current season, he has played 17 matches across all competitions, scoring 12 goals and assisting seven times. Reputable site Transfermarkt estimates the 24-year-old forward at 200 million euros.
Recently, the player revealed that he has been struggling with racism. He also expressed his desire to make his national team the best in the world.
