Before joining Bayern, Vincent Kompany's previous coaching position was at Burnley, where he led the team to a second-to-last place finish in the Premier League, resulting in relegation to the Championship.
Kompany replaced German Thomas Tuchel as the head coach of Bayern Munich after the team failed to win any trophies for the first time since 2012 in the last season.
