Interim head coach of Manchester United, Ruud van Nistelrooy, has commented on his appointment as the team’s leader after the recent dismissal of Erik ten Hag, which occurred on Monday, October 28.
The club quotes the former striker for the “Red Devils” as saying:
Ruud van Nistelrooy
Even temporarily, it is an honor to lead the team I love. I'm willing to do this for as long as it takes. I can promise that I will continue to give my best to the club, no matter what position I am in, to try to change the situation for the better.
Earlier reports indicated that Sporting's coach, Ruben Amorim, has already been appointed as the new manager of Manchester United.
